The following letter was written by a very young Chuck Schudson to his parents and brother.

Dear Mom, Dad, and Hod,

In nature club today we were just past diamond 2 and we went to see a tree about 2 yards from the road. When we started walking out there were 3 people ahead of me they went out onto the road but when I started out you no my luck I steped on a bee hive and I had about 50 bees sitting on my neck. They flue to my leg. I have about 15 bites I can hardly walk. I was lucky because they were yellow jackets and if they bite alot on your face you can get a fever and dy. I'm not just saying it because the head of nature club told me.

Love,

Chuck
